Puy-Guillaume and its treasures

By staying at the Hôtel Larivaut, you'll be in the town of Puy-Guillaume, in the heart of the town center. Take the time to stroll through the historic streets and discover all the monuments and places of interest that surround you.

You'll particularly enjoy visiting the Montpeyroux Abbey, whose history, which began in the early 12th century, has seen many events.

Our establishment is also ideally located if you're planning an event: many castles hosting weddings are nearby.

A stone's throw from Thiers

Just about fifteen kilometers from our establishment, you will discover Thiers. The world capital of cutlery awaits you and has much to offer! You can learn more about this centuries-old expertise by visiting the Cutlery Museum or by meeting the city's many artisan cutlers.

But Thiers is also a renowned medieval city, boasting fascinating remains. Stroll through the center to admire the houses dating from this period, the sloping streets, and the covered passageways.

Nature lovers will also be well served: Thiers is surrounded by hiking trails, cycling routes, and memorable panoramas.

Discoveries and visits in Vichy

From your hotel near Thiers, head in the opposite direction to Vichy. Among the city's must-see attractions, we recommend Rue Alquié and its English villas, the Source des Célestins, or the two connecting churches, Saint-Blaise and Notre-Dame-des-Malades.

To enjoy events and nightlife in Vichy, you can head to the Opéra or the Casino.

Châteldon, its water and its character

Surrounded by nature, Châteldon is a "Small Town of Character" not to be missed during your stay. It is particularly renowned for its mineral water spring, very finely sparkling, which was particularly appreciated by Louis XIV.

While strolling through the medieval village, you will admire the castle, the belfry, the Saint-Sulpice Church, and the traces of history, from every era, that the streets have preserved.

Walks in the great outdoors

The Bourbonnaise Mountains, combining the Bois Noirs Massif and the Monts de la Madeleine, are an ideal environment for walks in the great outdoors. Hikers and cyclists: the trails will be your paradise.

Between wooded valleys, rocky spurs, and rivers, you're sure to find a route to escape and create unforgettable memories. Among other things, you can admire the Grotte des Fées, the Legendary Stones, or the Puy du Montoncel.

On the trail of the Auvergne volcanoes

The Puy-de-Dôme, like the rest of Auvergne, is a department known for its volcanoes. When you stay at the Hôtel Larivaut, you'll be close to the Chaîne des Puys. Over 30 km long, 80 volcanoes are aligned, making up the youngest volcanic complex in metropolitan France.

Around fifty hiking trails will allow you to discover these unique natural wonders and appreciate their full beauty.
